Going back to her roots
After 10 years of working as a commercial illustrator, Hove resident, Jessica Ford has gone back to her roots and back into the studio, producing large scale canvases.
Her bold, abstract, colourful paintings are inspired by the natural landscape and the ever changing seasons.
Jessica was raised in the beautiful Cotswolds, by an artist Mother and art lecturer Father, and so it was a natural progression to pursue a career in the arts. Her recent venture into the fine art world has been met with great excitement, turning her well tuned and confident use of colour into a larger scale, expressive medium. Her paintings are sold at Keep It Vintage in Hove, and Unlimited in Brighton.
Currently Jessica is working on a number of commissioned pieces, and making plans for even larger scale work, with a solo exhibition planned for the Autumn.
She works from her Hove seaside studio, surrounded by pots of paint, numerous cups of tea, and accompanied by a steady stream of Desert Island Discs.
